With a degree in Architecture from Iowa State University and formal training at a 19th century woodworking shop, Clay and his wife Megan founded Aronson Woodworks in 2011. 

Located 15 minutes south of Des Moines, our 5,000 square foot woodworking shop houses a sawmill, roughly 3,000 board feet of reclaimed lumber, and a finish room. Our production facility sits upon 6 acres nestled within rolling Iowa farmland. We are located just minutes from the Bridges of Madison County and are a stone’s throw from burgeoning downtown Des Moines, Iowa.

Aronson Woodworks specializes in furniture as works of art made for everyday living. Hand-crafted pieces are designed to your specifications and are artfully finished with the Aronson Woodworks CLAIZE™ technique, transforming the way the world sees wood grain.
