CUSTOM COLORED WOODGRAIN
After developing our patented CLAIZE™ finish, we became most recognized for our popular black and white wood grain colorway, accentuated by elegant waterfall designs. Unlike a typical cerused finish, our CLAIZE process uses two or more opaque paint colors to achieve a completely covered wood surface while accentuating the natural grain pattern of the wood. The high contrast grain of the solid American Ash we primarily use makes this wood species an excellent canvas for artistic experimentation. You can now order our striking black and white wood grain in a myriad of colorways. Our CLAIZE finish can be customized to match any color or colors you choose, and we are continually playing around with color to find even more creative, innovative ways to work with wood grain.
CLAIZED ≠ CERUSED
Cerused wood finishes have been around since the dawn of time and have been the go-to method for accenting wood grain using color. Using a wax and acid techinque, craftsmen have been able to produce a subtle contrast of light and dark color to highlight the grain pattern. CLAIZE is completely different. Click here to learn more about how patented CLAIZE wood finishes from Aronson Woodworks create a strikingly sharp contrast of custom colorways that accentuate the natural grain of wood.
